25 LC 112 2673 House Resolution 18 By: Representatives Burnough of the 77th and Scott of the 76th A RESOLUTION Commending Ramielle Moorer, Clayton County Public Schools' 2024-2025 Teacher of the1 Year; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, nothing is more vital to the future of our state than the education of our young3 people, and Ramielle Moorer exemplifies the selfless dedication that is characteristic of our4 finest teachers; and5 WHEREAS, Ramielle Moorer began her teaching career in 2011 at F orest Park Middle6 School and later served as a music specialist at Suder Elementa ry for five years, during7 which time she prepared numerous students for the Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS)8 Fine Arts Magnet Track; and9 WHEREAS, since 2017, she has served as the director of choral a ctivities at Riverdale10 Middle School, leading school wide morale-building initiatives, chairing the Hospitality11 Committee, and sharing her expertise as the lead teacher mentor; and12 H. R. 18 - 1 - 25 LC 112 2673 WHEREAS, during her tenure with CCPS, she has obtained Level 1 Orff-Schulwerk13 Certification and has further served as the fine arts integrati on lead for the ArtsNow:14 Engaging Minds Grant; and15 WHEREAS, in 2020, she contributed to the development of music education as the CCPS16 fine arts curriculum writing lead for middle school chorus and general music; and17 WHEREAS, she has additionally played a key role in organizing t he Georgia Music18 Educators Association (GMEA) District VI Middle School Chorus Large Group Performance19 Evaluation since 2020; and20 WHEREAS, in recognition of such remarkable contributions to the education and welfare21 of Georgia's students, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the22 extraordinary accomplishments and academic achievements of this outstanding educator.23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that24 the members of this body commend Ramielle Moorer, Clayton Count y Public Schools'25 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year, and express their most sincere b est wishes for continued26 success.27 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized28 and directed to make an appr opriate copy of t his resolution ava ilable for distribution to29 Ramielle Moorer.30 H.
