A RESOLUTION
Commending the Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta; and for other purposes.1
WHEREAS, the Corporate Volunteer Council (CVC) of Atlanta supports member companies2
in achieving business results through its strategic commitment to civic engagement and3
social impact; and4
WHEREAS, founded in 1992, the Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta is the only CVC5
in the nation recognized three times as CVC of the Year by Poin ts of Light, a nonpartisan6
international social impact organization; and7
WHEREAS, the CVC of Atlanta is currently led by Yvonne Whitaker of the NCR8
Foundation as President, Brittany Church of Ryan LLC as Vice President, Kat Reynolds of9
Veritiv as Secretary, Geneva Hall-Shelton of IHG Hotels and Res orts as Treasurer, and10
Toccara Arnold Alam as Community Volunteer, all of whom bring d iverse expertise and11
unwavering dedication to corporate excellence; and12
WHEREAS, members of the CVC benefit from forums that focus on b est practices for13
corporate community engagement and gain access to educational programming, networking,14
and leadership development opportunities; and15

WHEREAS, the CVC further provides annual benefits such as indus try-specific interest16
groups, access to nonprofit partnerships, and recognition opportunities through the IMPACT17
Awards and other press features; and18
WHEREAS, the CVC membership comprises over 90 businesses, inclu ding prominent19
corporations such as Delta Air Lines, Deloitte, and Amazon, alo ngside nonprofit20
organizations like United Way of Greater Atlanta; and21
WHEREAS, the CVC of Atlanta continues to inspire companies to achieve meaningful social22
impact and professional growth through their commitment to volunteerism and community23
engagement.24
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that25
the members of this body commend the Corporate Volunteer Counci l of Atlanta for its26
longstanding dedication to businesses operating in the State of Georgia and beyond as well27
as extend best wishes for continued success.28
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized29
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the30
Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta.31
