A RESOLUTION
Commending Donald J. Trump; and for other purposes.1
WHEREAS, Donald J. Trump was re-elected on November 5, 2024, winning the electoral2
and popular vote, as the 47th President of the United States, t he second candidate in3
American history to be elected to the office in two non-consecu tive terms, gaining the4
confidence of millions of American voters; and5
WHEREAS, President Trump has appointed and nominated a record n umber of women,6
minorities, and individuals from a wide range of backgrounds to key leadership positions,7
including appointing the first female White House Chief of Staff and youngest White House8
Press Secretary in history; and9
WHEREAS, President Trump has made several key commitments in line with his America10
First agenda, to include sealing the United States border, keep ing our communities safe,11
ending high inflation, extending American worker tax cuts, and establishing America as a12
dominant energy producer in the world; and13

WHEREAS, in his first term, his pro-growth, pro-worker economic policies fueled14
unprecedented GDP growth, lower taxes for individuals and businesses, affordable prices for15
consumers, and technological innovation whilst eliminating burdensome regulations; and16
WHEREAS, he led the United States into energy independence for the first time in decades17
with initiatives such as opening fe deral lands to oil and gas e xploration, approving the18
Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines, and ending undue relia nce on foreign energy19
sources; and20
WHEREAS, President Trump appointed over 200 federal judges, inc luding 54 federal21
appellate judges and three Supreme Court justices—Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and22
Amy Coney Barrett—whose decisions will shape the legal landscape for generations; today,23
more than a quarter of active federal court judges are Trump appointees; and24
WHEREAS, he adopted a "peace through strength" approach to fore ign policy to restore25
international American leadership, hold our adversaries accountable at the United Nations,26
and bring peace to the Middle East through the Abraham Accords; and27
WHEREAS, President Trump has demonstrated an unwavering commitm ent to restoring28
American sovereignty and ending the abuse of our immigration system by implementing the29
"Remain in Mexico" policy, constructing over 450 miles of new border wall, and cracking30
down on illegal sanctuary cities.31
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body32
commend the 45th and 47th President of the United States Donald J . T r u m p f o r h i s33
re-election and successful conservative policies as well as ext end their best wishes for his34
continued leadership.35

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed36
to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to the public and the37
press.38
