25 LC 129 0018 Senate Resolution 34 By: Senators Merritt of the 9th, Rahman of the 5th, Islam Parkes of the 7th, Still of the 48th, Dixon of the 45th and others A RESOLUTION Congratulating the Grayson High School football team for winning the 2024 GHSA Class1 6A State Football Championship; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Grayson High School football team has established and maintained a proud3 tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character and academics; and4 WHEREAS, this superlative team has completed another triumphant season of football5 competition by posting an outstanding record of 14 wins and only one loss; and6 WHEREAS, excellent play, superior teamwork, and extraordinary resilience made this team7 a spectacular one to observe throughout the season, and as a fitting finale to its remarkable8 2024 campaign, the team captured its fourth state football championship; and9 WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding10 athletic ability, dedication, hard work, and unity of purpose and spirit of each member of the11 team; its superb offensive and defensive talents; and the astut e direction of Head Coach12 Santavious Bryant; and13 S. R. 34 - 1 - 25 LC 129 0018 WHEREAS, this magnificent team performed with precision during the season and earned14 its well-deserved reputation for high standards of athletic achievement, the quality of its play,15 and the stiff competition it presented to its opponents.16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body17 congratulate the Grayson High School football team for winning the 2024 GHSA Class 6A18 State Football Championship and extend best wishes for continued success.19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed20 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Grayson High21 School football team.22 S.
