25 LC 129 0023 House Resolution 92 By: Representatives Glaize of the 67th, Dawson of the 65th, Jackson of the 68th, Willis of the 55th, and Schofield of the 63rd A RESOLUTION Commending Creekside High School's Career and Technical Student Organizations and1 recognizing February 5, 2025, as Career and Technical Student O rganizations Day at the2 state capitol; and for other purposes.3 WHEREAS, Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) in Georgia are an integral4 part of and an intra-curricular component for career, technical , and agricultural education5 programs, which are designed to support instructional objective s and the attainment of6 academic and technical competencies; and7 WHEREAS, in response to the emerging tech workforce, CTSOs have expanded to include8 both technology and communication, equipping future generations for successful careers; and9 WHEREAS, CTSOs engage businesses and industries at the national, state, and local levels,10 ensuring that educators and students alike know that businesses care about their future and11 that their educational experiences are aligned for application in the workforce; and12 WHEREAS, CTSOs offer students opportunities to participate in a variety of activities13 including conferences, award programs, service projects, and competitive events; and14 H. R. 92 - 1 - 25 LC 129 0023 WHEREAS, CTSOs are an invaluable resource for Creekside High Sc hool's students that15 play a pivotal role in preparing them for success and fulfillment in their future careers.16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that17 the members of this body commend Creekside High School's Career and Technical Student18 Organizations and recognize February 5, 2025, as Career and Tec hnical Student19 Organizations Day at the state capitol.20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized21 and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution avai lable for distribution to the22 public and the press.23 H.
