25 LC 129 0070 House Resolution 85 By: Representatives McClain of the 109 th, Okoye of the 102 nd, Adeyina of the 110 th, and Mitchell of the 88th A RESOLUTION Commending the Authors Expert Academy for its contributions on World Book and1 Copyright Day and recognizing April 23, 2025, as the Authors Ex pert Academy Day in2 Georgia; and for other purposes.3 WHEREAS, World Book and Copyright Day, established by UNESCO an d observed4 annually on April 23, celebrates the power of books to promote knowledge, bridge cultural5 divides, and foster understanding across communities and nations; and6 WHEREAS, the Authors Expert Academy, an initiative of the TIUA School of Business and7 TIUA Corp. Florida, has demonstrated exemplary leadership in promoting the enjoyment of8 books and reading while raising awareness about the importance of intellectual property9 rights and copyright protections; and10 WHEREAS, the Authors Expert Academy provides a transformative platform for aspiring11 and established authors, equipping them with the tools, educati on, and mentorship needed12 to elevate their craft and contribute meaningfully to global literature; and13 H. R. 85 - 1 - 25 LC 129 0070 WHEREAS, the academy actively encourages the celebration of boo ks, authors, and14 publishers, fostering a deep appreciation for storytelling and creative expression in Georgia15 and beyond; and16 WHEREAS, the Authors Expert Academy aligns with the principles of World Book and17 Copyright Day by raising awareness about the importance of inte llectual property rights,18 advocating for fair recognition and protec tion of authors' cont ributions, and supporting19 efforts to combat copyright infringement; and20 WHEREAS, the academy has inspired authors and readers to connec t through stories that21 bridge gaps, uplift communities, and drive meaningful change, e mbodying the spirit of22 World Book and Copyright Day.23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that24 the members of this body commend the Authors Expert Academy for its outstanding25 contributions to the promotion of books, reading, and intellectual property rights in alignment26 with the goals of World Book and Copyright Day as well as recognize April 23, 2025, as the27 Authors Expert Academy Day in Georgia in honor of its efforts t o inspire creativity,28 celebrate the written word, and advocate for the rights of authors and publishers.29 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized30 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the31 Authors Expert Academy.32 H.
