25 LC 129 0071 House Resolution 81 By: Representatives McClain of the 109 th, Okoye of the 102 nd, Adeyina of the 110 th, and Mitchell of the 88th A RESOLUTION Recognizing International Literacy Day, honoring the contributions of Trinity International1 University of Ambassadors, and celebrating Dr. Jacqueline Mohai r and Dr. Cheryl2 Polote-Williamson; and for other purposes.3 WHEREAS, International Literacy Day, established by UNESCO and observed annually on4 September 8, highlights the critical importance of literacy in fostering education, social5 inclusion, and sustainable development across the globe; and6 WHEREAS, literacy is a fundamental right that empowers individu als, strengthens7 communities, and drives societal progress, and this day serves as an opportunity to address8 global literacy challenges and advocate for inclusive learning opportunities; and9 WHEREAS, the State of Georgia recognizes and celebrates the transformative work of Dr.10 Jacqueline Mohair, founder of Trinity International University of Ambassadors, TIUA11 School of Business, and Trinity International Chaplaincy Institute, for her lifelong dedication12 to advancing education, leadership, and global advocacy through innovative programs; and13 H. R. 81 - 1 - 25 LC 129 0071 WHEREAS, Dr. Mohair, through the Doctor of Philosophy in Christ ian Literary and Fine14 Arts Leadership program, has created a platform for leaders to integrate faith, literary arts,15 and leadership, providing a profound impact on communities in Georgia and worldwide; and16 WHEREAS, the program is guided by Dr. Cheryl Polote-Williamson, Dean of Christian17 Literary Arts and Leadership, whose mentorship and inclusion of the Soul Shift Coaching18 Program equip students with purpose-driven leadership and mindset mastery; and19 WHEREAS, the program emphasizes practical applications of literary and leadership skills,20 with students presenting capstone projects or dissertations on global platforms, including the21 United Nations International Literacy Day, amplifying their con tributions to literacy22 advocacy; and23 WHEREAS, the State of Georgia acknowledges the critical role of literacy in creating24 equitable opportunities and recognizes the contributions of Trinity International University25 of Ambassadors in preparing leaders to address modern education al and social challenges26 through faith and creativity.27 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that28 the members of this body recognize International Literacy Day and its mission to promote29 literacy as a tool for individual empowerment and global progre ss, honor Trinity30 International University of Ambassadors, and celebrate the contributions of Dr. Jacqueline31 Mohair and Dr. Cheryl Polote-Williamson in guiding students to become global advocates32 for literacy and leadership.33 H.
