25 LC 112 2775 House Resolution 107 By: Representatives Dubnik of the 29th, Dunahoo of the 31st, and Carson of the 46th A RESOLUTION Honoring and commending American Heritage Girls (AHG); and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, American Heritage Girls (AHG) is currently chartered i n every state except2 Utah; and3 WHEREAS, AHG has 39,839 national members in all 50 states; 1,22 0 troops nationally;4 1,520 members in Georgia; and 43 troops in the State of Georgia, and its purpose is to instill5 spiritual and character development in young women; and6 WHEREAS, on June 25, 2015, AHG and Trail Life USA signed a Memorandum of Ministry7 Alliance, which is the highest form of relationship each organi zation can hold, and it was8 approved by both boards; and by sharing skills, talents, knowledge, and common goals, both9 groups will be able to empower and support their respective mem berships in order to10 accomplish great things in their communities while spreading the love of God to others; and11 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the efforts of American Heritage Girls12 toward improving the lives of the young women of this state be appropriately recognized.13 H. R. 107 - 1 - 25 LC 112 2775 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that14 the members of this body honor and commend American Heritage Gi rls (AHG) for its15 tireless efforts in shaping the youth in Georgia and the United States and extend sincere best16 wishes for continued success.17 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized18 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to19 American Heritage Girls (AHG).20 H.
