25 LC 129 0078 House Resolution 112 By: Representative Werkheiser of the 157th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Darin McCoy on his outstanding public service; and for other1 purposes.2 WHEREAS, Darin McCoy is an active member of the Georgia Council of Probate Judges,3 where he has held every office in the state organization, inclu ding president from 2002 to4 2003, and currently severs as Secretary-Treasurer; and 5 WHEREAS, he served as the 2016 President of the Constitutional Officers of Georgia, which6 is composed of all of Georgia's Sheriffs, Superior Court Clerks , Tax Commissioners, and7 Probate Judges; and 8 WHEREAS, he has served as an instructor for the University of G eorgia's Institute of9 Continuing Judicial Education, instructing classes for Probate Court Clerks and Probate10 Court Judges across the state; and11 WHEREAS, upon completing his current term in 2028, he will has served 36 years in office.12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that13 the members of this body recognize and commend Darin McCoy for his efficient, effective,14 H. R. 112 - 1 - 25 LC 129 0078 unselfish, and dedicated public ser vice to the State of Georgia as well as extend the most15 sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.16 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized17 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Darin18 McCoy.19 H.
