25 LC 129 0056 Senate Resolution 81 By: Senators Payne of the 54th, Still of the 48th, Anderson of the 24th, Burns of the 23rd, Dolezal of the 27th and others A RESOLUTION Congratulating the Dalton State College mens golf team for winn ing the 2024 NAIA1 National Golf Championship; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Dalton State College mens golf team has established and maintained a proud3 tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character and academics; and4 WHEREAS, this superlative team has completed another triumphant season of golf5 competition by posting an outstanding record of eight tournament wins and defeating a total6 of 131 teams; and7 WHEREAS, this all-star team included five players who earned NAIA All-American titles,8 with Brock Hoover making history as the first Roadrunner athlete to win 1st Team Academic9 All-American honors; and10 WHEREAS, as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by11 performing with courage and precision over months of training a nd competition, it is12 abundantly proper to call them champions.13 S. R. 81 - 1 - 25 LC 129 0056 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body14 congratulate the Dalton State College mens golf team for winning the 2024 NAIA National15 Golf Championship and extend best wishes for continued success.16 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed17 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Dalton State18 College mens golf team.19 S.
