25 LC 112 2771 Senate Resolution 71 By: Senators Williams of the 25th, Kirkpatrick of the 32nd, Burns of the 23rd, Robertson of the 29th, Anderson of the 24th and others A RESOLUTION Congratulating the Employees' Retirement System of Georgia upon its 75th anniversary; and1 for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Employees' Retirement System of Georgia (ERSGA) wa s established in3 1950, and it has served as a trusted partner in retirement readiness for Georgia's workforce4 over the past 75 years; and5 WHEREAS, ERSGA administers five distinct defined benefit pensio n plans, two life6 insurance plans, and three defined contribution plans, includin g the Peach State Reserves7 (PSR) 401(k) and 457 plans; and8 WHEREAS, ERSGA further serves as the Social Security Administra tor for political9 subdivisions across Georgia, supporting retirement on a statewide level; and10 WHEREAS, ERSGA is guided by its mission to promote a dignified retirement and is11 committed to delivering accurate and timely benefits supported by state-of-the-art12 technology; and13 S. R. 71 - 1 - 25 LC 112 2771 WHEREAS, ERSGA remains dedicated to operational excellence, innovation, and superior14 customer service, upholding its commitment to integrity and continuous improvement for the15 members, retirees, and beneficiaries it serves.16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body17 congratulate the Employees' Retirement System of Georgia upon the grand occasion of its18 75th anniversary and extend best wishes for continued success.19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed20 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for di stribution to the Employees'21 Retirement System of Georgia.22 S.
