25 LC 129 0102 House Resolution 159 By: Representatives Ballinger of the 23rd, Thomas of the 21st, Ridley of the 22nd, Parsons of the 44th, Jasperse of the 11th, and others A RESOLUTION Commending and congratulating Tyler Schmidt; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Tyler Schmidt has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, the most distinguished rank2 conferred by the Boy Scouts of America; and3 WHEREAS, a candidate for the most exceptional award in scouting must complete a4 rigorous program of training and demonstrate his proficiency in selected scouting techniques5 and the attainment of the highest ideals of scouting; and6 WHEREAS, only one scout out of 97 ever reaches this lofty level of achievement, and Tyler7 has ably evidenced his aptitude and competency in mastering the various special skills taught8 through the Scouts BSA program; and9 WHEREAS, this hard-working young man has demonstrated great lea dership skills and10 initiative during his years with the Scouts BSA program; and11 WHEREAS, an outstanding Georgian, Tyler has truly exhibited a c ommitment to the12 scouting principles of honesty and fairness and has consistentl y conducted himself in a13 manner becoming of an Eagle Scout; and14 H. R. 159 - 1 - 25 LC 129 0102 WHEREAS, the perseverance and determination displayed by this exceptional young leader15 set an example for all Georgians, and great success is surely in this young man's future.16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that17 the members of this body commend Tyler Schmidt for his diligenc e and dedication in18 pursuing the highest honor awarded by the Boy Scouts of America and congratulate him on19 attaining the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout.20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized21 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Tyler22 Schmidt.23 H.
