25 LC 112 2821 House Resolution 170 By: Representatives Jackson of the 68th, Bazemore of the 69th, Gilliard of the 162nd, Prince of the 132nd, and Bell of the 75th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Cornerstone Baptist Church PTC on the occasion of its 15th1 anniversary; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the seeds which were sown by the loving and humble efforts of the founding3 worshipers of Cornerstone Baptist Church PTC have blossomed, establishing a rich tradition4 and history; and5 WHEREAS, organized in January 2010, the church held its initial worship services at the6 Wyndham Conference Center in Peachtree City before relocating t o the Peachtree City7 Seventh Day Adventist Church in Sharpsburg, Georgia; and8 WHEREAS, after a season at Peachtree City Seventh Day Adventist Church, the9 congregation secured another temporary worship space at the Div ine World Community10 Church in Tyrone, Georgia; and11 WHEREAS, in July 2012, just two years after its founding, Cornerstone Baptist Church PTC12 finally obtained its permanent worship campus in Fayetteville, Georgia, spanning 21 acres13 of land; and14 H. R. 170 - 1 - 25 LC 112 2821 WHEREAS, the story of Cornerstone Baptist Church PTC is one of triumph through the15 grace and sustaining power of God, and it stands as an immovable witness to the truth that16 God keeps His promise; and17 WHEREAS, the congregation of this church has compiled an unpara lleled record of18 constructive, compassionate, and humanitarian service which it demonstrates daily through19 open minds, open hearts, and open doors; and20 WHEREAS, the members of Cornerstone Baptist Church PTC have a sincere desire to serve21 the Lord and are wholeheartedly committed to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ; and22 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this enduring example of God's message23 of peace and love be recognized and congratulated for its innumerable good works rendered24 on behalf of persons in need.25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that26 the members of this body recognize the rich history of Cornerst one Baptist Church PTC,27 commend its 15 years of dedicated service to the Lord and its c ommunity, and extend the28 warmest best wishes for its continued growth and success.29 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized30 and directed to make an appr opriate copy of t his resolution ava ilable for distribution to31 Cornerstone Baptist Church PTC.32 H.
