A RESOLUTION
Congratulating and commending Nellie Klodner; and for other purposes.1
WHEREAS, Nellie Klodner received the 2024 Inclusion Award from Georgia Tech's K-122
InVenture Prize State Finals at the Raytheon Technologies Inven tion Convention United3
States Nationals; and4
WHEREAS, Ms. Klodner is a diligent, hard-working student from P anter Elementary5
School; and 6
WHEREAS, with the help of Anna Borsh, Ms. Klodner created the a pp "Grocery Eyes,"7
which helps visually impaired people navigate through the grocery store more easily; and8
WHEREAS, both Ms. Klodner and Ms. Borsh created the app in the hope that visually9
impaired people can gain more independence through using the ap p's navigation,10
microphone, and camera features to help locate items; and11
WHEREAS, prior to winning the 2024 Inclusion Award at the Unite d States Nationals,12
"Grocery Eyes" won the same title from the state level competition where each student won13
an Amazon tablet; and14

WHEREAS, as first prize winners at the United States Nationals, each student received a15
trophy, certificate, and $1,000.00 prize; and16
WHEREAS, this remarkable young student has personified the selfless dedication, mental17
agility, verbal adroitness, and personal maturity necessary for such an honorary award; and18
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this19
extraordinary student be appropriately recognized.20
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that21
the members of this body congratulate Nellie Klodner upon recei ving the 2024 Inclusion22
Award from Georgia Tech's K-12 InVenture Prize State and National Finals, commend her23
for her many outstanding contributions on behalf of the citizens of Georgia, and extend best24
wishes for continued growth, development, and success.25
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized26
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Nellie27
Klodner.28
