25 LC 129 0099 Senate Resolution 142 By: Senator Kennedy of the 18th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Megan Turner, the Department of Community Supervision's1 2024 Employee of the Year; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, founded on the tenets of public safety and progress, t he Georgia Department3 of Community Supervision commenced operations on July 1, 2015, through the passage of4 House Bill 310; and5 WHEREAS, Megan Turner has honorably served the State of Georgia for seven years and6 has shown herself to be an outstanding embodiment of the depart ment's core values of7 selfless service, accountability, integrity, teamwork, and professional development; and8 WHEREAS, Megan routinely goes above and beyond to provide effic ient, effective,9 unselfish, and dedicated service to her coworkers and the State of Georgia; and10 WHEREAS, she is the consummate professional and a person upon w hom many of her11 colleagues rely for her knowledge and expertise; and12 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this13 remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.14 S. R. 142 - 1 - 25 LC 129 0099 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body15 recognize and commend Megan Turner on being named the Departmen t of Community16 Supervision's 2024 Employee of the Year as well as extend best wishes for continued17 success.18 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed19 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Megan Turner. 20 S.
