SB139: SB139 City of Mulberry; change the corporate limits of the city

The City of Mulberry was created by a 2024 Act of the Georgia General Assembly, which set out the city's boundaries in an appendix. This bill amends that original incorporation Act to add a long list of additional parcels of land in Gwinnett County to the city's corporate limits. Each parcel is identified by its deed book and page number in the Gwinnett County Land Records, and some are further identified by tax parcel ID numbers from the Gwinnett County Board of Tax Assessors. The bill does not change anything else about how the city operates; it simply redraws which properties fall inside city limits. It also repeals any other laws that conflict with this change.

Properties added to Mulberry's limits would become subject to city governance, services, and any city taxes or ordinances instead of being governed solely as unincorporated Gwinnett County land. This changes which local government has jurisdiction over these specific properties.
