25 LC 112 2912 House Resolution 231 By: Representatives Powell of the 33rd, Washburn of the 144th, Crowe of the 118th, Camp of the 135th, Roberts of the 52nd, and others A RESOLUTION Commending the Georgia Association of REALTORS® and recognizing February 18, 2025,1 as REALTOR® Day at the Dome; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the annual Georgia Association of REALTORS® Day at the Dome conference3 will bring more than 1,000 REALTORS® to Atlanta and the state capitol; and4 WHEREAS, the Georgia Association of REALTORS® has served the citizens of the state5 of Georgia by being the premiere voice advocating on behalf of private property rights for6 over a century; and7 WHEREAS, members of the Georgia Association of REALTORS® have made the dream8 of home and property ownership a reality for millions of Georgia residents; and9 WHEREAS, the Georgia Association of REALTORS® seeks to increase knowledge of all10 real estate professionals in Georgia by offering scholarships for continuing education classes11 through its Scholarship Foundation, which was established in 1984; and12 H. R. 231 - 1 - 25 LC 112 2912 WHEREAS, the Georgia Association of REALTORS® made over $600,00 0 available to13 Georgians who suffered a loss of their residence or livelihood from a natural disaster in 202414 alone through grants from the GAR Disaster Relief Fund; and15 WHEREAS, the Georgia Association of REALTORS® raises the bar of professionalism in16 commercial and residential real estate practice in Georgia; and17 WHEREAS, the Georgia Association of REALTORS® is recognized as the premier18 organization in the state of Georgia representing more than 48,000 real estate professionals19 dedicated to protecting private property rights; and20 WHEREAS, the celebration of the 105th anniversary of the Georgi a Association of21 REALTORS® is a celebration of the legacy created and cultivated by dedicated real estate22 professionals over the past century.23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that24 the members of this body commend the Georgia Association of REALTORS® for its many25 outstanding contributions on behalf of the citizens of Georgia and recognize February 18,26 2025, as REALTOR® Day at the Dome.27 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized28 and directed to make an appr opriate copy of t his resolution ava ilable for distribution to29 Georgia Association of REALTORS®.30 H.
