26 LC 48 178 House Bill 421 (COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE) By: Representatives Taylor of the 173rd, Rice of the 139th, Reeves of the 99th, Ballinger of the 23rd, and Mathiak of the 82nd A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT To amend Code Section 16-6-5 of the Official Code of Georgia An notated, relating to1 enticing a child for indecent purposes, so as to include travel ing from another state for the2 purpose of child molestation or indecent acts; to provide for a penalty; to provide for related3 matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:5 SECTION 1.6 Code Section 16-6-5 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to enticing a child7 for indecent purposes, is amended by revising subsection (a) as follows:8 "(a) A person commits the offense of enticing a child for indecent purposes when he or9 she solicits, entices, or takes any child under the age of 16 years to any place whatsoever10 or travels from another state for the purpose of child molestation or indecent acts."11 SECTION 2.12 All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.13 H.
