25 LC 112 2926 House Resolution 268 By: Representatives Dickey of the 134th, Howard of the 71st, Huddleston of the 72nd, Cannon of the 172nd, Jackson of the 128th, and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending the Georgia Green Industry Associati on; and for other1 purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Georgia Green Industry Association is a state-wide trade organization for3 the horticulture industry in Georgia; and4 WHEREAS, members of the Georgia Green Industry Association include professionals in5 the landscape trade, irrigation contractors, wholesale nursery growers, greenhouse operators,6 retail garden centers, flower growers, and allied sales companies; and7 WHEREAS, the Georgia Green Industry Association serves as the umbrella association for8 this state's entire horticulture industry, providing leadership and advocacy for agriculture9 businesses and enthusiasts; and10 WHEREAS, the Georgia Green Industry Association and its members will be present at the11 capitol on February 18, 2025, to speak with elected officials in order to promote and advance12 the economic lifestyle and environmental benefits of horticulture in Georgia.13 H. R. 268 - 1 - 25 LC 112 2926 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that14 the members of this body recognize and commend the Georgia Green Industry Association15 for its commitment to Georgia horticulture and welcome members of this remarkable16 organization to the state capitol.17 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized18 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the19 Georgia Green Industry Association.20 H.
