HR301: HR301 Barrow County's 2025 STAR Students and STAR Teachers; commend

25 LC 112 3067 House Resolution 301 By: Representatives Gaines of the 120th, Persinger of the 119th, and Efstration of the 104th A RESOLUTION Commending Barrow County's 2025 STAR Students and STAR Teachers ; and for other1 purposes.2 WHEREAS, the following students have been recognized as Barrow County's 2025 STAR3 Students: Christopher Skyler Mack, Apalachee High School; Lucy Grace Bugg, Barrow Arts4 & Sciences Academy; Bennett Logan, Bethlehem Christian Academy; and Alexander5 Liangyu Hou, Winder-Barrow High School; and6 WHEREAS, these students were granted the opportunity to name a STAR Teacher from their7 respective schools whose guidance and support played a vital ro le in their success: Mrs.8 Holly Behzadi, tenth grade Honors and AP Chemistry, Apalachee High School; Mr. Jeffery9 Lalaian, 12th grade AP Calculus, Barrow Arts & Sciences Academy ; Mrs. Tammy10 Suertefelipe, 12th grade AP Literature, Bethlehem Christian Aca demy; and Mr. Cason11 Dowdy, 11th grade Physics, Physics Honors, and AP Physics, Winder-Barrow High School;12 and13 WHEREAS, these exemplary students have personified the selfless dedication, mental14 agility, and personal maturity necessary for superlative academic performance; and15 H. R. 301 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3067 WHEREAS, a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most16 important objective of the Georgia General Assembly, and these distinguished individuals17 have shown that the pursuit and attainment of scholastic success are within the reach of the18 students in this state; and19 WHEREAS, the State of Georgia looks with great anticipation tow ard the future of these20 bright and promising young students and honors the efforts of educators who go above and21 beyond in order to impact the lives of our youth.22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that23 the members of this body heartily commend Barrow County's 2025 STAR Students and24 STAR Teachers and express their most sincere best wishes for continued success.25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized26 and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution avai lable for distribution to the27 public and the press.28 H.
