A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Dr. Noris Price; and for other purposes.1
WHEREAS, Dr. Noris Price has served as the Superintendent of Baldwin County Schools2
since July 1, 2014, demonstrating unwavering dedication to student success and academic3
excellence; and4
WHEREAS, under her exemplary leadership, the Baldwin County Sch ool District has5
implemented instructional initiatives and strategies that have significantly improved student6
performance, increasing the high school graduation rate from 66 percent to 85 percent; and7
WHEREAS, Dr. Price has successfully secured over $10 million in grant funding, greatly8
benefiting the students and programs of Baldwin County Schools, and has led the school9
district through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools/Council on Accreditation10
and School Improvement district accreditation process; and11
WHEREAS, prior to her tenure as Superintendent, Dr. Price serve d as Deputy12
Superintendent of the Clarke County School District, where she played a pivotal role in the13
development and implementation of school and system-wide improvement efforts, leading14

to the district being named th e Title I Distinguished District in 2010 for closing the15
achievement gap; and16
WHEREAS, Dr. Price has devoted her career to public education, serving as an elementary17
school teacher in New York City and Fairfax, Virginia, and late r as an Assistant Principal18
and Principal in Fairfax, Virginia, and Fulton County, Georgia, where she led Woodland19
Elementary Charter School to multiple state and national recognitions; and20
WHEREAS, Dr. Price has been widely recognized for her contribut ions to education,21
receiving accolades such as the 2022 Georgia Superintendent of the Year, Georgia School22
Superintendents Association President's Award, Georgia Charter System of the Year, and the23
Communities in Schools National "All In For Students" Award, among many others; and24
WHEREAS, she has served on numerous prestigious boards, including the Georgia School25
Superintendents Association Board of Directors, the Association for Supervision and26
Curriculum Development National Board of Directors, and the Geo rgia School Boards27
Association Board of Trustees, further demonstrating her commit ment to advancing28
education at all levels; and29
WHEREAS, Dr. Price holds a Doctor of Education in Educational L eadership from Nova30
Southeastern University, a Certificate in Educational Leadershi p from George Mason31
University, a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Lehm an College of the City32
University of New York, and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from33
Wilmington College in Ohio; and34

WHEREAS, she firmly believes that public education remains the greatest opportunity for35
America's children to achieve a quality education and realize t he American Dream,36
regardless of their background or socioeconomic status.37
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that38
the members of this body recognize and commend Dr. Noris Price for her exemplary39
leadership, unwavering dedication, and outstanding contributions to public education and the40
Baldwin County community as well as extend our deepest gratitude for her years of service41
and wish her continued success in all her future endeavors.42
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized43
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Dr.44
Noris Price.45
