25 LC 129 0063 House Resolution 287 By: Representatives Martin of the 49th, Ehrhart of the 36th, Seabaugh of the 34th, and Parsons of the 44th A RESOLUTION Congratulating and commending Ms. Patria Brown; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Ms. Patria Brown is the state recipient of the Technic al College System of2 Georgia 2024 Exceptional Adult Georgian in Literacy Education ( EAGLE) award, which3 recognizes adult learners in pursuit of excellence; and4 WHEREAS, EAGLE celebrates and recognizes adult learners from across the state who have5 demonstrated exceptional achievement in adult education classes; and6 WHEREAS, for 31 years, the EAGLE program has created a greater awareness of adult7 education opportunities availa ble in local communities across t he state and has fostered8 involvement in lifelong learning pursuits; and9 WHEREAS, Ms. Brown was selected from among 25 EAGLE delegates w ho have10 demonstrated excellent academic achievements within their local adult education programs;11 and12 H. R. 287 - 1 - 25 LC 129 0063 WHEREAS, Ms. Brown will serve as an ambassador for adult educat ion in Georgia,13 representing nearly 22,000 students who benefit from adult education programs throughout14 the state; and15 WHEREAS, in pursuing her education, Ms. Brown has brought honor to herself, her family,16 the Cobb County School District, and the entire Technical College System of Georgia, which17 she represents as Georgia's exceptional adult education student for 2024.18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that19 the members of this body congratulate and commend Ms. Patria Brown for her exceptional20 achievements and efforts to promote adult education in Georgia as well as extend best wishes21 for continued success.22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized23 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Ms.24 Patria Brown.25 H.
