25 LC 56 0286 House Bill 470 By: Representatives Berry of the 56th, Sanchez of the 42nd, Romman of the 97th, Park of the 107th, Cannon of the 58th, and others A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT To amend Article 5 of Chapter 11 of Title 16 of the Official Co de of Georgia Annotated,1 relating to offenses involving illegal aliens, so as to prohibit activities related to immigration2 enforcement in certain locations; to provide for such prohibition to apply to federal, state, and3 local government employees; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and4 for other purposes.5 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:6 SECTION 1.7 Article 5 of Chapter 11 of Title 16 of the Official Code of Geo rgia Annotated, relating to8 offenses involving illegal aliens, is amended by adding a new C ode section to read as9 follows:10 "16-11-204.11 Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, no federal, state, or local12 government employee, including law enforcement officers, shall conduct immigration13 enforcement activities or take actions with the intent to assist in immigration enforcement14 on or in any school grounds, college campuses, public places of worship, or hospitals."15 H.
