A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Jacob Crumbley; and for other purposes.1
WHEREAS, a native of Harris County and graduate of Harris County High School, Jacob2
Crumbley has been named U.S. Soccer's 2024 Male Cerebral Palsy Player of the Year; and3
WHEREAS, he joined the United States Cerebral Palsy Men's National Team (CP MNT) in4
2018 during his senior year of high school and has since repres ented the United States in5
international competitions across Spain, England, Ecuador, Peru , Chile, Australia, and6
Ireland; and7
WHEREAS, in 2024, he demonstrated exceptional versatility and l eadership, excelling in8
multiple positions and leading the CP MNT with five goals and eight total goal contributions,9
including standout performances at the IFCPF World Cup in Salou, Spain; and10
WHEREAS, Jacob played a pivotal role in Team USA's seventh-place finish at the IFCPF11
World Cup, delivering a crucial equalizer and scoring the game-winning goal in a dramatic12
comeback victory against Germany; and13

WHEREAS, as a dedicated member of Team USA, Jacob has contributed to the success of14
the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee, earning two bronze medals at the15
Parapan American Games; and16
WHEREAS, a talented multi-sport athlete, Jacob played on the Harris County High School17
Varsity Soccer Team and served as a kicker for the Tigers footb all team, where he was18
ranked the third-best kicker in the nation for his graduating c lass by the Ray Guy Kicking19
Camp program; and20
WHEREAS, Jacob is the third recipient of the Male Cerebral Palsy Player of the Year award21
since its inception in 2022, earning 59 percent of the weighted vote; and22
WHEREAS, his achievements reflect his hard work, resilience, an d passion for soccer,23
bringing pride to Harris County and the State of Georgia, and i t is abundantly fitting and24
proper that he be appropriately honored.25
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that26
the members of this body recognize and commend Jacob Crumbley, U.S. Soccer's 2024 Male27
Cerebral Palsy Player of the Year, and extend best wishes for continued success both on and28
off the field.29
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized30
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Jacob31
Crumbley.32
