25 LC 112 2985 House Resolution 307 By: Representatives Howard of the 71st, Burchett of the 176th, Huddleston of the 72nd, Smith of the 70th, and Smith of the 18th A RESOLUTION Honoring the life and memory of Investigator Taylor Jaimeson Br istow; and for other1 purposes.2 WHEREAS, the State of Georgia lost one of its finest citizens a nd most dedicated law3 enforcement officers with the untimely passing of Investigator Taylor Jaimeson Bristow on4 August 23, 2024; and5 WHEREAS, Investigator Bristow was born on July 2, 1994, in Fayetteville, North Carolina,6 the beloved son of Robert Bristow and Shelly Murray Bristow; and7 WHEREAS, Investigator Bristow was highly regarded by the citizens of his community and8 state as well as by local government officials as a person of u nquestioned integrity and9 dedication to the sound principles of law enforcement; and10 WHEREAS, he served with honor and distinction as a member of th e Carroll County11 Sheriff's Office for six years, and his life was tragically tak en in the line of duty while he12 heroically carried out the difficult responsibilities of his vocation; and13 H. R. 307 - 1 - 25 LC 112 2985 WHEREAS, prior to his position at the Carroll County Sheriff's Office, Investigator Bristow14 served as part of the Ware County Sheriff's Office and the Waycross Police Department; and15 WHEREAS, Investigator Bristow exhibited extraordinary devotion to public service,16 outstanding loyalty, fine leadership, and meticulous attention to detail in all of his duties; and17 WHEREAS, beyond his career, he found great happiness in watchin g his son, Noah, play18 baseball, often offering guidance from the sidelines, and he shared an unbreakable bond with19 his daughter, Bella, whom he adored and treasured as his princess; and20 WHEREAS, he was united in love and marriage to his wife, Meliss a, and he was further21 blessed with two true canine companions, Bo Duke and Daisy Duke, who served as his loyal22 sidekicks; and23 WHEREAS, he will long be remembered for his inspiring commitmen t to the welfare of24 others, which stands as a shining example of the positive effec t law enforcement25 professionals have on the lives and well-being of others.26 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that27 the members of this body join in honoring the life and memory o f Investigator Taylor28 Jaimeson Bristow and express their most sincere condolences at his passing.29 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized30 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the31 family of Investigator Taylor Jaimeson Bristow.32 H.
