A RESOLUTION
Recognizing the Association of Georgia General Aviation Airports as an industry association1
for general aviation airports in the State of Georgia and its corporate affiliates; and for other2
purposes.3
WHEREAS, there are 95 general aviation airports in the State of Georgia that are essential4
to the state's transportation and economic infrastructure, supporting its diversified industries5
including technology, manufacturing, distribution, tourism, and agriculture; these businesses6
utilize Georgia's airports to transport employees, customers, vendors, and goods, which spur7
economic development; and8
WHEREAS, Georgia general aviation airports have an economic imp act of more than $29
billion dollars to the State of Georgia; and10
WHEREAS, the Association of Georgia General Aviation Airports (AGGAA) was founded11
in 2021 as a nonprofit agency to promote general aviation airpo rts, provide information12
sharing and education, and promote progressive legislation in order to expand and improve13
the infrastructure needs of general aviation airports in the State of Georgia; and14

WHEREAS, the association is composed of airport managers and th ose assigned those15
duties, students, government employees, industry consultants, a nd airport vendors in the16
State of Georgia; and17
WHEREAS, AGGAA is a major resource for those in the general avi ation industry,18
providing educational, scholarship, and networking opportunities for those interested in the19
development of airports across the State of Georgia; and20
WHEREAS, its board members are Chair Amber McCall, Toccoa-Stevens County Airport;21
Vice Chair Davin Welter, Athens-Ben Epps Airport; Secretary Ada m Webb, Covington22
Municipal Airport; Past Chair Hope Macaluso, Atlanta Regional A irport-Falcon Field;23
Treasurer Nathaniel Schattner, Newnan-Coweta County Airport; and Sonya Voice.24
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body25
recognize the Association of Georgia General Aviation Airports for its many wonderful26
contributions on behalf of general aviation airports in the State of Georgia and extend best27
wishes for future success.28
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed29
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Association30
of Georgia General Aviation Airports.31
