25 LC 112 3032 House Resolution 326 By: Representatives Dunahoo of the 31st, Hawkins of the 27th, Hong of the 103rd, Dubnik of the 29th, McCollum of the 30th, and others A RESOLUTION Congratulating the North Hall Middle School boys and girls cross country teams for winning1 the 2024 GHSA Middle School State Cross Country Championship; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the North Hall Middle School boys and girls cross coun try teams have3 established and maintained a proud tradition of excellence with equal emphasis on character4 and academics; and5 WHEREAS, excellent performance, superior teamwork, and extraordinary resilience made6 these teams a spectacular force throughout the season, and as a fitting finale to their7 remarkable 2024 campaign, they captured their third straight st ate cross country8 championships, along with their third Grand Champion title for best overall cross country9 school in the state; and10 WHEREAS, the girls team delivered a strong performance, placing five of their seven11 runners in the top 25, including three in the top 10, as well as securing a six-point victory in12 the championship race; and13 WHEREAS, the girls team was led by Chandler Sosebee, who finish ed third overall, with14 key contributions from Challis Latta and Emmy Edwards in the top 10, along with Malorie15 H. R. 326 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3032 Wyse, Macy Michael Hill, and Marianna Elizarraraz rounding out the title-winning roster;16 and17 WHEREAS, the boys team demonstrated equal dominance, placing five runners in the top18 15 and securing a commanding 25-point victory over the runner-up team; and19 WHEREAS, Hunter Morrison led the boys team with a fifth-place o verall finish, with20 Thaddeus Ivy, Isaac Borg, Hudson Webb, Angelo Lugo, Clay Brown, and Ben Erickson21 completing the championship-winning roster; and22 WHEREAS, four boys runners—Isaac Borg, Hudson Webb, Bodi Glover , and Levi23 Miller—and three girls runners—Chandler Sosebee, Malorie Wyse, and Macy Michael24 Hill—achieved the remarkable feat of competing on all three consecutive state championship25 teams from sixth through eighth grade; and26 WHEREAS, as these magnificent teams earned their well-deserved reputation for excellence27 by performing with courage and precision over months of trainin g and competition, it is28 abundantly proper to call them champions.29 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that30 the members of this body congratulate the North Hall Middle Sch ool boys and girls cross31 country teams for winning the 2024 GHSA Middle School State Cro ss Country32 Championship and extend best wishes for their continued success.33 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized34 and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution avai lable for distribution to the35 North Hall Middle School boys and girls cross country teams.36 H.
