A RESOLUTION
Honoring Park Place Operations Inc. upon its 50th anniversary; and for other purposes.1
WHEREAS, Park Place Operations Inc., originally known as Parking Company of America,2
has been a foundational part of the Atlanta community since its founding and incorporation3
on July 22, 1974, providing invaluable parking and mobility ser vices to the residents and4
businesses of Atlanta, Georgia; and5
WHEREAS, established and continuously led by the Chavez Family, Park Place Operations6
Inc. has earned a reputation for its exceptional customer service, operational excellence, and7
commitment to the success of its clients and the broader community; and8
WHEREAS, over the past five decades, Park Place Operations Inc. has created thousands of9
jobs with more than 1,000 employees across the country, establi shing itself as a vital10
contributor to Georgia's workforce and economic prosperity; and11
WHEREAS, Park Place Operations Inc. owns, manages, and operates parking assets in 1512
states nationwide and expands into new markets year over year, leading the way in13
leveraging and innovating parking technology solutions, enhancing clients' and customers'14

experience through touchless and seamless parking alternatives, and maximizing clients'15
revenue streams and profit; and16
WHEREAS, between 1980 and 2009, Park Place Operations Inc. played a pivotal role in the17
operations at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, managing 30,000 parking18
spaces and handling up to 7 million transactions annually; at its peak, Park Place Operations19
Inc. employed 550 team members at the airport alone, providing significant employment20
opportunities for Georgia residents; and21
WHEREAS, Park Place Operations Inc. has long been a partner in workforce development,22
offering a platform for recent college graduates to gain valuab le managerial and business23
skills, which help shape their professional success in various industries; and24
WHEREAS, in addition to its business success, Park Place Operat ions Inc. has shown25
unwavering dedication to community service, supporting a variety of local organizations with26
initiatives that focus on scholarships, job readiness, and empo werment for women,27
entrepreneurs, and youth; and28
WHEREAS, the company's charitable efforts include partnerships with organizations such29
as the Atlanta Women Foundation, The Latin American Association , Mexican Center of30
Atlanta, Families First, CREW Atlanta, and the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.31
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body32
celebrate the 50th anniversary of Park Place Operations Inc. an d honor its remarkable33
contributions to the City of Atlanta, the State of Georgia, and the countless individuals and34
communities it has positively impacted throughout its storied history.35

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed36
to make an appropriate copy of t his resolution avai lable for di stribution to Park Place37
Operations Inc.38
