25 LC 112 3074 House Resolution 341 By: Representatives Gambill of the 15th and Scoggins of the 14th A RESOLUTION Congratulating and commending Monica Whitfield, the Cartersvill e-Bartow County1 Chamber of Commerce 2024 Volunteer of the Year; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, Monica Whitfield was recently named the Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber3 of Commerce 2024 Volunteer of the Year in recognition of her exceptional dedication to the4 chamber and her community; and5 WHEREAS, she has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to nurturing future leaders6 through her service as chair of the Youth Leadership Bartow committee, where her efforts7 have inspired and guided countless young individuals; and8 WHEREAS, her leadership as both a chamber ambassador and head o f the Events9 sub-committee has played a vital role in the success of numerous chamber events, including10 the Annual Cookout; and11 WHEREAS, her selfless contributions further include her partici pation in county-wide12 initiatives such as the upcoming Cartersville Dancing with the Stars, which supports the13 Good Neighbor Homeless Shelter and Backpack Buddies; and14 H. R. 341 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3074 WHEREAS, Monica Whitfield's outstanding service, leadership, and compassion have made15 a lasting impact on her community and beyond, making her a well-deserved recipient of this16 prestigious award.17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that18 the members of this body congratulate Monica Whitfield upon bei ng named the19 Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce 2024 Volunteer of the Year; commend20 her for her many exemplary contributions on behalf of the citizens of Georgia; and extend21 best wishes for her continued success.22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized23 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to24 Monica Whitfield.25 H.
