25 LC 112 3072 House Resolution 342 By: Representatives Gambill of the 15th and Scoggins of the 14th A RESOLUTION Congratulating and commending Shaw Industries Group, the Carter sville-Bartow County1 Chamber of Commerce 2024 Manufacturer of the Year; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, since beginning its journey in Northwest Georgia, Shaw Industries Group has3 become a global leader in the floor covering industry while rem aining an integral part of4 Bartow County for more than 40 years; and5 WHEREAS, Shaw Industries Group has invested nearly $1 billion into the State of Georgia6 over the past five years, including the installation of a half-mile solar array at its Adairsville7 facility and the establishment of the Shaw Family Health Center and Hiring Center in8 Cartersville; and9 WHEREAS, Shaw Industries Group employs more than 2,700 associat es across multiple10 Bartow County locations and fosters a culture of support and em powerment while11 contributing significantly to local economic growth and supporting numerous not-for-profit12 organizations; and13 WHEREAS, as additional testament to its dedication to the commu nity, Shaw Industries14 Group was recently recognized by Forbes magazine as a Best-In-State Employer; and15 H. R. 342 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3072 WHEREAS, Shaw Industries Group exemplifies excellence, innovati on, and community16 commitment, making it a deserving recipient of this prestigious award.17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that18 the members of this body congratulate Shaw Industries Group upo n being named the19 Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce 2024 Manufacture r of the Year;20 commend Shaw Industries Group for its many outstanding contribu tions on behalf of the21 citizens of Georgia; and extend best wishes for its continued g rowth, development, and22 success.23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized24 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Shaw25 Industries Group.26 H.
