25 LC 112 3119 House Resolution 353 By: Representatives Adeyina of the 110th, Okoye of the 102nd, Olaleye of the 59th, Beckles of the 96th, and McClain of the 109th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Kayode Adekunle; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Kayode Adekunle has diligently and conscientiously dedicated over 30 years2 to community leadership and service, playing a vital role in uplifting and advocating for the3 Nigerian and African diaspora communities in Georgia; and4 WHEREAS, he currently serves as president of the Alliance of Ni gerian Organizations in5 Georgia (ANOG), an umbrella organization representing over 40 diverse Nigerian diaspora6 associations, where he has worked to expand the organization's visibility, strengthen7 community engagement, and cultivate relationships with elected officials; and8 WHEREAS, under his leadership, ANOG has elevated its signature events, including the9 Annual Nigeria Cultural Day and Banquet Awards, launched a quar terly newsletter to10 promote diaspora businesses, and expanded outreach to local county leadership to champion11 causes and foster collaborations; and12 WHEREAS, he has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to humanitarian efforts, leading13 initiatives to provide food, shelter, and employment assistance to individuals and families in14 H. R. 353 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3119 need, including raising over $12,000 to support those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic;15 and16 WHEREAS, beyond ANOG, he has been an active leader in numerous community17 organizations, including over a decade of service to the Nigeri an American Public Affairs18 Committee; and19 WHEREAS, in addition to his service to the community, he is a h ighly regarded20 cybersecurity consultant with expertise in cyber threat management, regulatory compliance,21 layered defense strategies, computing platforms, and network de sign who holds multiple22 professional certifications; and23 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this remarkab le individual be24 appropriately honored during this special time.25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that26 the members of this body recognize and commend Kayode Adekunle for his many27 outstanding accomplishments and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health28 and happiness.29 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized30 and directed to make an appr opriate copy of t his resolution ava ilable for distribution to31 Kayode Adekunle.32 H.
