25 LC 112 3022 House Resolution 358 By: Representatives Jasperse of the 11th, Smith of the 138th, Prince of the 132nd, Hagan of the 156th, Jackson of the 128th, and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Maddison Hendershot of the Georgia Transportation Alliance1 for her years of service and commitment to advancing transportation policy in Georgia; and2 for other purposes.3 WHEREAS, the Georgia Transportation Alliance is the state's onl y organization focused4 solely on identifying and promoting long-term transportation solutions specifically connected5 to economic development and job creation. GTA is the transportation arm and affiliate of the6 Georgia Chamber and works closely with the Georgia Department of Transportation, Georgia7 Ports Authority, and other key stakeholders in Georgia with the goal of ensuring an efficient8 and safe statewide multi-modal transportation system; and9 WHEREAS, Maddison Hendershot served as Deputy Director of the Georgia Transportation10 Alliance from January 2017 to February 2025, during which time she supported the11 operations of the organization, facilitated board member engage ment, and directly12 coordinated with Georgia General Assembly members and other community leaders; and13 WHEREAS, Maddison Hendershot has been invaluable in assisting t he members of the14 House of Representatives Committee on Transportation in carrying out their important work,15 which would not have been as easily done without her help; and16 H. R. 358 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3022 WHEREAS, Maddison Hendershot has organized countless events, making the work of the17 House of Representatives so much more enjoyable; and18 WHEREAS, Maddison Hendershot is an outstanding, loving mother of two precious girls,19 and her husband is a lucky fella; and20 WHEREAS, Maddison Hendershot is a loved member of the transportation community, and21 Chairman Rick Jasperse and the 42 members of the House Committe e on Transportation22 wish her well in her new adventure and will miss her greatly.23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that24 the members of this body recognize and commend Maddison Hendershot for her efficient,25 effective, unselfish, and dedicated service and extend the most sincere best wishes for26 continued success.27 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized28 and directed to make an appr opriate copy of t his resolution ava ilable for distribution to29 Maddison Hendershot.30 H.
