The House Committee on Governmental Affairs offers the following substitute to HB 613:
A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
To amend Article 7 of Chapter 4 of Title 20 of the Official Cod e of Georgia Annotated,1
relating to high demand apprenticeship program, so as to provid e for the publication of2
certain information related to the registered apprenticeship pr ogram; to provide for the3
extension of such program; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for4
other purposes.5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:6
SECTION 1.7
Article 7 of Chapter 4 of Title 20 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to high8
demand apprenticeship program, is amended by revising Code Section 20-4-153, relating to9
annual reporting and cooperation from apprenticeship sponsor, as follows:10
"20-4-153.11
(a) The Office of Workforce Development shall annually report on its website the12
following information:13
(1) The total amount of compensation awarded under this article;14
(2) The amount of compensation awarded in each field of high-demand careers identified15
by the State Workforce Development Board pursuant to Code Section 34-14-3;16

(3) The total number of contracts entered into and the number of contracts completed;17
(4) The total number of contracts entered per eligible occupation and the number of those18
completed;19
(5) The total amount awarded overall with respect to each eligible occupation;20
(6) The total number of apprentices who attended an institution of the Technical College21
System of Georgia during the course of his or her apprenticeship program; and22
(7) The total number of apprentices who did not attend an inst itution of the Technical23
College System of Georgia during the course of his or her apprenticeship program;24
(8) A list of apprenticeship and employer sponsors that have been provided a complete25
contract award; provided, however, that such sponsors may opt out of such publication;26
and27
(9) A list of the individuals who completed a registered appre nticeship program28
provided; however, that such individuals may opt out of such publication.29
(b) Each apprenticeship sponsor shall fully cooperate in providing statistical information30
requested by the board or, at the board's discretion, be excluded from participating in the31
High Demand High-Demand Apprenticeship Program."32
SECTION 2.33
Said article is further amended by revising Code Section 20-4-156, relating to repealer, as34
follows:35
"20-4-156.36
This article shall stand repealed on July 1, 2027 June 30, 2030."37
SECTION 3.38
All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.39
