25 LC 112 3126 House Resolution 406 By: Representatives Yearta of the 152nd, Gullett of the 19th, Cheokas of the 151st, Martinez of the 111th, and Williams of the 148th A RESOLUTION Recognizing February 27, 2025, as Georgia Municipal Court Clerks Council Day at the state1 capitol; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Georgia Municipal Court Clerks Council (GMCCC), established in 2006,3 is an organization composed of dedicated municipal court clerks from across the State of4 Georgia; and5 WHEREAS, the mission of the Georgia Municipal Court Clerks Coun cil is to act as an6 administrative support mechanism by assisting municipal court clerks throughout the State7 of Georgia in their endeavor to ensure the administrative efficiency of the court, protect the8 court's ethical integrity, and help maintain public confidence in the court's fairness in9 dispensing justice impartially; and10 WHEREAS, the Georgia Municipal Court Clerks Council focuses on the development and11 training of municipal court clerks, ensuring the continuous improvement of municipal courts12 and the justice system, thereby supporting the judiciary and co urt administration to better13 serve the public and promote the efficient administration of justice; and14 H. R. 406 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3126 WHEREAS, municipal court clerks are integral to preserving the judiciary, court15 administration, and public safety as well as upholding the qual ity of life in local16 municipalities across the State of Georgia; and17 WHEREAS, the members of the Georgia Municipal Court Clerks Coun cil are court18 professionals who embody a profound commitment to the ethical and effective management19 of the Georgia Judicial System; and20 WHEREAS, municipal court clerks are at the forefront of direct interactions with the public,21 with more people engaging with these clerks than with all other courts combined, making22 them vital to shaping the public's impression of the Georgia Judicial System; and23 WHEREAS, municipal court clerks conduct their duties with unwav ering neutrality and24 impartiality, ensuring equal service to all and steadfastly promoting public confidence in the25 integrity and fairness of the judiciary; and26 WHEREAS, it is both fitting and proper to recognize the efforts , accomplishments, and27 significant role of the Georgia Municipal Court Clerks Council in preserving the public trust28 and fostering confidence, integrity, and impartiality within the judiciary.29 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that30 the members of this body commend the Georgia Municipal Court Cl erks Council for its31 invaluable service and dedication to advancing the administration of justice, its unwavering32 commitment to court administration and public safety, and its contributions to the betterment33 of the Georgia Judicial System.34 H. R. 406 - 2 - 25 LC 112 3126 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the members of this body recognize February 27, 2025,35 as Georgia Municipal Court Clerks Council Day at the state capitol in honor of its service as36 an essential partner in upholding the principles of fairness, justice, and integrity that underpin37 the judicial system of the State of Georgia.38 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized39 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the40 Georgia Municipal Court Clerks Council.41 H.
