25 LC 39 4681 Senate Resolution 267 By: Senator James of the 28th A RESOLUTION Honoring the life of Ms. Aj'anaye Hill and dedicating an intersection in her memory; and for1 other purposes.2 WHEREAS, Ms. Aj'anaye Hill was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on April 1, 2008, the3 beloved daughter of Chanell White and Louis Hill; and4 WHEREAS, Ms. Hill was a loved and talented student at Lithia Springs High School, with5 an expected graduation date of 2026; and6 WHEREAS, she had a passion for music and dancing and enjoyed ma king TikTok videos7 with her family and friends; and8 WHEREAS, Ms. Hill's life was tragically cut short on March 4, 2023, when she was one of9 ten children shot at a sweet 16 birthday party in Douglas County; and10 WHEREAS, known for her outspoken and fearless nature, Ms. Hill will long be remembered11 for her love of family and friendship, and this loyal daughter and friend will be missed by all12 who had the great fortune of knowing her; and13 S. R. 267 - 1 - 25 LC 39 4681 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this remarkab le and distinguished14 Georgian be recognized appropriately by dedicating an intersection in her memory.15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ENACTED BY THE GENERAL16 ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA that the intersection of U.S. 78 and Campbe llton Street in17 Douglas County is dedicated as the Aj'anaye Hill Memorial Intersection.18 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Department of Transportation is authorized and19 directed to erect and maintain appropriate signs dedicating the Aj'anaye Hill Memorial20 Intersection.21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed22 to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to the family of Ms.23 Aj'anaye Hill and to the Department of Transportation.24 S.
