25 LC 112 3083 Senate Resolution 270 By: Senator Strickland of the 42nd A RESOLUTION Commending the South Atlanta Vascular Institute; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, the South Atlanta Vascular Institute (SAVI) is a multi -specialty vascular2 practice that provides comprehensive care through the combined expertise of board-certified3 vascular surgeons and vascular interventional radiologists; and4 WHEREAS, SAVI's mission is to restore patients' quality of life through advanced5 techniques performed in its state-of-the-art facility, which allow for faster recovery with less6 pain and risk; and7 WHEREAS, SAVI specializes in minimally invasive surgical treatments for arterial diseases8 such as peripheral vascular disease, diabetic artery disease, l imb preservation treatment,9 abdominal aortic aneurysm, and carotid artery disease as well as venous diseases including10 varicose veins, superficial and deep venous disease, deep venou s thrombosis, and deep11 venous reconstruction; and12 WHEREAS, SAVI's outpatient surgical center allows physicians to perform these minimally13 invasive vascular procedures in-office, providing greater convenience for patients; and14 S. R. 270 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3083 WHEREAS, SAVI's board-certified physicians, including Dr. David Allison, Dr. Paul Jones,15 and Dr. David Penn, have been recognized as Top Doctors for mul tiple years for their16 excellence in vascular care; and17 WHEREAS, SAVI has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to provid ing unparalleled18 service, support, and care to its patients in adherence with th e highest principles of skill,19 integrity, and responsibility; and20 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this21 extraordinary healthcare institution be appropriately honored. 22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body23 commend the South Atlanta Vascular Institute for its many valuable contributions on behalf24 of the citizens of Georgia and extend best wishes for the future.25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed26 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the South Atlanta27 Vascular Institute.28 S.
