25 LC 112 3147 House Resolution 403 By: Representatives Bell of the 75th, Scott of the 76th, Neal of the 79th, Burnough of the 77th, Flournoy of the 74th, and others A RESOLUTION Commending Clayton State University and recognizing March 4, 20 25, as Clayton State1 University Day at the state capitol; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, Clayton State University is an institution committed to improving the lives of3 its students through teaching, scholarship, and service; and4 WHEREAS, Clayton State University was named No. 5 in The Wall Street Journal Best5 Colleges in the State of Georgia; and6 WHEREAS, in 2024, Clayton State University was ranked by James Magazine as the No.7 3 Best Value in Georgia; and 8 WHEREAS, students in the Clayton State University School of Nur sing recently earned a9 100 percent pass rate on the NCLEX nursing board exam; and10 WHEREAS, a new Master's in Teaching in Secondary Education was established in 202411 through a partnership with DeKalb County to help meet teacher pipeline needs; and12 H. R. 403 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3147 WHEREAS, Spivey Hall on the campus of Clayton State University continues to be an13 internationally recognized concert hall.14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that15 the members of this body commend Clayton State University and recognize March 4, 2025,16 as Clayton State University Day at the state capitol.17 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized18 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to19 President Georj L.
