25 LC 129 0218 House Resolution 446 By: Representatives Dickey of the 134th, Stinson of the 150th, and Ballard of the 147th A RESOLUTION Commending Charvez Holmes, Peach County's 2025 Teacher of the Y ear; and for other1 purposes.2 WHEREAS, nothing is more vital to the future of our state than the education of our young3 people, and Charvez Holmes exemplifies the selfless dedication that is characteristic of our4 finest teachers; and5 WHEREAS, Charvez Holmes is a highly praised eighth grade physic al science, social6 studies, and gifted program teacher at Fort Valley Middle Schoo l, tirelessly directing an7 extraordinary amount of time and talent toward guiding students to a brighter future; and8 WHEREAS, she has earned distinction for teaching excellence as a result of her dedication9 to her students and her profession and has been honored as Peach County's 2025 Teacher of10 the Year; and11 WHEREAS, as the 2025 Peach County Teacher of the Year, Charvez Holmes will represent12 the district at the state level for Georgia's 2025 Teacher of the Year competition; and13 H. R. 446 - 1 - 25 LC 129 0218 WHEREAS, in recognition of such remarkable contributions to the education and welfare14 of Georgia's students, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the15 extraordinary accomplishments and academic achievements of this outstanding educator.16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that17 the members of this body commend Charvez Holmes, Peach County's 2025 Teacher of the18 Year, and express their most sincere best wishes for continued success.19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized20 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to21 Charvez Holmes.22 H.
