25 LC 129 0232 House Resolution 451 By: Representatives Gaines of the 120th, Wiedower of the 121st, Rhodes of the 124th, Frye of the 122nd, Persinger of the 119th, and others A RESOLUTION Congratulating and commending Caterpillar Inc. on its 100th ann iversary; and for other1 purposes.2 WHEREAS, this year, Caterpillar Inc. celebrates a century of industry leadership, innovation,3 excellence, and remarkable contributions to infrastructure, manufacturing, and technological4 advancement; and5 WHEREAS, founded on April 15, 1925, Caterpillar Inc. originated from the pioneering work6 of Benjamin Holt and C.L. Best, whose vision revolutionized track-type tractor technology7 and laid the foundation for one of the most recognizable brands in heavy equipment; and8 WHEREAS, Caterpillar Inc. has grown from its humble beginnings into a global leader in9 manufacturing construction and mining equipment, off-highway di esel and natural gas10 engines, industrial gas turbines, and diesel-electric locomotives, with operations spanning11 countless industries and markets worldwide; and12 WHEREAS, the company has maintained a significant presence in t he United States,13 including its headquarters in Irving, Texas, and multiple facilities across Georgia that support14 jobs in Griffin, Atlanta, Athens, and Patterson; and15 H. R. 451 - 1 - 25 LC 129 0232 WHEREAS, throughout its history, Caterpillar Inc. has remained dedicated to its core values16 of integrity, teamwork, and sustainability, fostering a culture of continuous improvement,17 responsible business practices, and environmental stewardship; and18 WHEREAS, as Caterpillar Inc. embarks on its next century, it re mains committed to19 advancing technology, driving sustainable solutions, and supporting communities through20 economic investment and philanthropic initiatives; and21 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this extraordinary company, which has22 played an integral role in shaping industries and communities for a century, be appropriately23 honored during this special time.24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that25 the members of this body congratulate Caterpillar Inc. upon the grand occasion of its 100th26 anniversary, commend its exemplary industry achievements and contributions, and extend27 best wishes for its continued success.28 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized29 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to30 Caterpillar Inc.31 H.
