25 LC 129 0264 Senate Resolution 334 By: Senators Davenport of the 17th, Wicks of the 34th, Jackson of the 41st, Parent of the 44th, Harrell of the 40th and others A RESOLUTION Congratulating and commending Pamela Collins for receiving the 2025 Yellow Rose Nikki1 T. Randall Servant Leader Award; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, in 1999, Representative Nikki T. Randall became the fi rst African American3 female elected to the General Assembly from middle Georgia, and over her 17 years of4 service as a legislator, she held numerous leadership positions, including chair of the Georgia5 Legislative Women's Caucus; and6 WHEREAS, every year during Women's History Month, the Georgia Legislative Women's7 Caucus recognizes outstanding women in Georgia who exemplify th e leadership and8 inspiration embodied by Representative Randall; and9 WHEREAS, Pamela Collins is a woman of unassuming greatness whos e humble acts of10 kindness and generosity have uplifted the entire community; and11 WHEREAS, Pamela has established a glowing reputation of renown throughout Georgia for12 her selfless service as a volunteer in the South Fulton area for over 30 years; and 13 S. R. 334 - 1 - 25 LC 129 0264 WHEREAS, she is a chartered member and the first President of t he National Council of14 Negro Women; a charter member of the National Women of Achievem ent, Inc-Southern15 Crescent; and a Diamond Life Member of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc., East Point/College Park16 Alumnae Chapter; and17 WHEREAS, Pamela has diligently and consistently devoted innumerable hours of her time,18 talents, and energy to energy, to the improvement of her community as the Vice Chair of the19 African American Democratic Caucus of Clayton County and the Concern Black Citizens20 of Clayton County; and21 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this22 extraordinary servant leader be appropriately recognized.23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body24 congratulate and commend Pamela Collins for receiving the 2025 Yellow Rose Nikki T.25 Randall Servant Leader Award and extend best wishes for her continued success.26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Secretary of the S enate is authorized27 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to28 Pamela Collins.29 S.
