25 LC 112 3224 House Resolution 479 By: Representatives Carson of the 46th, Wilkerson of the 38th, and Cooper of the 45th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Kathryn Fletcher for her service as chair of the Georgia1 Society of Certified Public Accountants; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, Kathryn Fletcher, CPA, MBA, CGMA, has demonstrated exc eptional3 leadership and dedication in her role as the chair of the Georgia Society of Certified Public4 Accountants (GSCPA) for the 2024-2025 Fiscal Year; and5 WHEREAS, throughout her tenure as chair, she has promoted the a ccounting profession6 among young people, engaging with students of all ages to share the many opportunities7 available within the field; and8 WHEREAS, she has further served as a strong proponent of financial literacy, recognizing9 its critical importance in daily life and championing increased awareness and education on10 financial matters for individuals and communities alike; and11 WHEREAS, her tenure as GSCPA chair has been marked by a commitment to innovation,12 education, and advocacy, strengthening the profession's future and ensuring that CPAs13 remain at the forefront of financial expertise and ethical responsibility; and14 H. R. 479 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3224 WHEREAS, her passion for the accounting profession began at an early age, leading her to15 pursue a distinguished career in public accounting, where she h as excelled as a trusted16 advisor, mentor, and advocate for the profession; and17 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this outstand ing individual be18 appropriately honored.19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that20 the members of this body recognize and commend Kathryn Fletcher f o r h e r e x e m p l a r y21 service as chair of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Acc ountants and extend best22 wishes for continued success in all future endeavors.23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized24 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to25 Kathryn Fletcher.26 H.
