25 LC 129 0279 House Resolution 496 By: Representatives Adeyina of the 110th, Beckles of the 96th, Berry of the 56th, Bell of the 75th, and Cannon of the 58th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Dr. Contessa Metcalfe; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Dr. Contessa Metcalfe is a triple board certified physician, veteran, and star of2 serval movies and television shows, including Married to Medicine; and3 WHEREAS, after graduating from St. Louis School of Medicine, she served as a guardian4 of this nation's freedom and liberty with the United States Navy, valiantly and courageously5 protecting her fellow Americans and traveling the world as a flight surgeon; and6 WHEREAS, Dr. Metcalfe owns HauteDoc, a lifestyle brand and a supplier of high quality7 vitamins and supplements, as well as Chastain Integrative Medic ine, located in the8 prestigious Buckhead region of Atlanta, where she specializes in medical aesthetics as well9 as preventive, occupational, and addiction medicine; and10 WHEREAS, in addition to being a successful entrepreneur, Dr. Metcalfe selflessly serves as11 the Georgia Chair of the American Diabetes Association and advocates for criminal justice12 reform and health equity, especially in marginalized communities and for veterans; and13 H. R. 496 - 1 - 25 LC 129 0279 WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for14 integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and15 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this16 remarkable and distinguished medical professional be appropriately recognized.17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that18 the members of this body recognize and commend Dr. Contessa Metcalfe for her efficient,19 effective, unselfish, and dedicated commitment to the health an d well being of citizens of20 Georgia and extend the most sincere best wishes for her continued success.21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized22 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Dr.23 Contessa Metcalfe.24 H.
