25 LC 47 3224/AP House Bill 720 (AS PASSED HOUSE AND SENATE) By: Representative Yearta of the 152nd A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT To amend an Act to reconstitute the Board of Education of Lee C ounty, approved1 April 9, 1993 (Ga. L. 1993, p. 5130), as amended, so as to revi se the compensation of the2 members of such board of education; to provide for an effective date; to provide for related3 matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:5 SECTION 1.6 An Act to reconstitute the Board of Education of Lee County, ap proved April 9, 19937 (Ga. L. 1993, p. 5130), as amended, is amended by revising Section 6 as follows:8 "SECTION 6.9 Members of the Board of Education of Lee County shall be compen sated in the amount10 of $175.00 per month. Members of the board, including the chairperson, as approved by11 the board, shall be reimbursed for the actual expenses necessar ily incurred for attending12 meetings and nonathletic events in the performance of their off icial duties for the Lee13 County School District."14 H. B. 720 - 1 - 25 LC 47 3224/AP SECTION 2.15 This Act shall become effective on the first day of the month following the month in which16 it is approved by the Governor or in which it becomes law without such approval.17 SECTION 3.18 All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.19 H.
