25 LC 129 0265 House Resolution 491 By: Representatives McDonald III of the 26th, Jones of the 25th, Barrett of the 24th, Jasperse of the 11th, and Cox of the 28th A RESOLUTION Honoring the South Forsyth High School co-ed cheer team, the 2024 GHSA Class 6A Cheer1 State Champions; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the South Forsyth High School co-ed cheer team has demonstrated outstanding3 skill, dedication, and perseverance, culminating in their victory as the 2024 GHSA Class 6A4 Cheer State Champions; and5 WHEREAS, the team's achievement is a testament to their hard wo rk, teamwork, and the6 unwavering support of their coaches, families, and school community; and7 WHEREAS, through their commitment to excellence, the team has brought great pride and8 recognition to South Forsyth High School and Forsyth County; and9 WHEREAS, the following student-athletes have exemplified dedication, sportsmanship, and10 talent in securing this championship: Lyla Boleware, Shea Cheek , Lizzie Crane, Lizzy11 Gaffney, Chloe Handschumacher, McKenzie Heath, Ellie Heglin, Re illy Hill, Addison12 Litzlinger, Madison Malave, Emma Mason, Dania Nacy, Layla Newbo ld, Amanda Ricci,13 Jackson Schmuhl, Rylie Shull, Emma Smith, and Ella Yu; and14 H. R. 491 - 1 - 25 LC 129 0265 WHEREAS, the dedicated leadership and guidance of the coaching staff were instrumental15 in the team's success, coaches Stacey Schmuhl, Lyndsey Phelps, and Lyndi McCloud are16 commended for their efforts; and 17 WHEREAS, as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by18 performing with courage and precision over months of training a nd competition, it is19 abundantly proper to call them champions.20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that21 the members of this body recognize and honor the South Forsyth High School co-ed cheer22 team for their exceptional achievement as the 2024 GHSA Class 6A Cheer State Champions.23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized24 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the25 South Forsyth High School co-ed cheer team. 26 H.
