25 LC 129 9000 House Resolution 550 By: Representative Powell of the 33rd A RESOLUTION Honoring the life and memory of Kenneth Wayne Brown; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens2 with the passing of Kenneth Wayne Brown on February 8, 2025; and3 WHEREAS, Kenneth Wayne Brown was born on June 30, 1934, in Hart well, Georgia, a4 beloved son of Joe and Lorene Herring Brown; and5 WHEREAS, he served as a guardian of this nation's freedom and l iberty with the United6 States Army, valiantly and courageously protecting his fellow Americans during the Korean7 War; and 8 WHEREAS, Kenneth Wayne Brown retired from the Hart County School System, working9 in the maintenance department; and 10 WHEREAS, he was a bus driver, employed at Monroe Auto Equipment Company, and11 served on the Hart County Board of Commissioners for 14 years; and 12 H. R. 550 - 1 - 25 LC 129 9000 WHEREAS, a man of deep and abiding faith, Kenneth Wayne Brown was an active member13 of Rock Springs Baptist Church; and14 WHEREAS, he was united in love and marriage to his wife, Betty, and was blessed with two15 remarkable children, Mike and Tim, two wonderful grandchildren, Jennifer and Betsy, and16 two great grandchildren, Cane and Chase; and17 WHEREAS, Kenneth Wayne Brown loved his family, church, cars and tractors, and will be18 remembered as a great hay farmer; and19 WHEREAS, he gave inspiration to many through his high ideals, morals, and deep concern20 for his fellow citizens, and the devotion, patience, and understanding he demonstrated to his21 family and friends were admired by others; and22 WHEREAS, he was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation23 for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example he made of his life, he24 made this world a better place in which to live; and25 WHEREAS, a compassionate and generous man, Kenneth Wayne Brown will long be26 remembered for his love of family, friendship, and community and will be missed by all who27 had the great fortune of knowing him.28 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that29 the members of this body join in honoring the life and memory of Kenneth Wayne Brown30 and express their deepest and most sincere regret at his passing.31 H.
