25 LC 112 3228 House Resolution 525 By: Representatives Townsend of the 179th, DeLoach of the 167th, Sainz of the 180th, Crowe of the 118th, Hitchens of the 161st, and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Community Supervision Officer John Crew, the Department1 of Community Supervision's 2024 Officer of the Year; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, founded on the tenets of public safety and progress, t he Georgia Department3 of Community Supervision commenced operations on July 1, 2015, through the passage of4 House Bill 310; and5 WHEREAS, Community Supervision Officer John Crew has honorably served the State of6 Georgia for 24 years and has shown himself to be an outstanding embodiment of the7 department's core values of selfless service, accountability, i ntegrity, teamwork, and8 professional development; and9 WHEREAS, Officer Crew routinely goes above and beyond to provide efficient, effective,10 unselfish, and dedicated service to his coworkers and the State of Georgia; and11 WHEREAS, Officer Crew's commitment to public safety while helping create opportunities12 for successful outcomes for the individuals he supervises serves as an example for his fellow13 officers; and14 H. R. 525 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3228 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this15 remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that17 the members of this body recognize and commend Community Superv ision Officer John18 Crew on being named the Department of Community Supervision's 2024 Officer of the Year19 and extend best wishes for continued success.20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized21 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to22 Community Supervision Officer John Crew.23 H.
