25 LC 129 0286 House Resolution 521 By: Representative Taylor of the 92nd A RESOLUTION Congratulating and commending Alethea Chapman for receiving the 2025 Yellow Rose1 Nikki T. Randall Servant Leader Award; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, in 1999, Representative Nikki T. Randall became the fi rst African American3 female elected to the General Assembly from middle Georgia, and over her 17 years of4 service as a legislator, she held numerous leadership positions, including chair of the Georgia5 Legislative Women's Caucus; and6 WHEREAS, every year during Women's History Month, the Georgia Legislative Women's7 Caucus recognizes outstanding women in Georgia who exemplify th e leadership and8 inspiration embodied by Representative Randall; and9 WHEREAS, Alethea Chapman is a dedicated community servant, entr epreneur, wife,10 mother, grandmother, United States Army veteran, and experienced educator with over 2011 years of teaching expertise; and12 WHEREAS, Alethea is a woman of unassuming greatness whose humble acts of kindness13 and generosity have uplifted the entire community; and14 H. R. 521 - 1 - 25 LC 129 0286 WHEREAS, her exceptional leadership talents and keen sense of vision are represented in15 her tenure with the National Council of Negro Women, WomenHeart , and the Real16 Educators of Toastmasters; and 17 WHEREAS, whether organizing local outreach initiatives or volun teering for causes that18 align with her values, Alethea is always at the forefront of ef forts that make a tangible19 difference; and20 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this21 extraordinary servant leader be appropriately recognized.22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that23 the members of this body congratulate and commend Alethea Chapm an for receiving the24 2025 Yellow Rose Nikki T. Randall Servant Leader Award and extend best wishes for her25 continued success.26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized27 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to28 Alethea Chapman.29 H.
