25 LC 112 3146 House Resolution 544 By: Representatives Cannon of the 58th, Glaize of the 67th, Sanchez of the 42nd, McQueen of the 61st, and Santos of the 117th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Dr. Paula Greaves; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Dr. Paula Greaves has diligently and conscientiously d evoted innumerable2 hours of her time, talents, and energy toward the betterment of her community and state, as3 evidenced dramatically by her distinguished service and leadership in women's health; and4 WHEREAS, since completing her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University5 of Tennessee in Knoxville in 1997 and moving to Marietta, Georg ia, Dr. Greaves has6 provided exceptional care to women of diverse backgrounds; and7 WHEREAS, she has served as a practicing physician at Wellstar Northwest Women's Care8 and as chief of the Wellstar Health System Women's Service Line, where she has worked to9 improve maternal health outcomes and care for menopausal women; and10 WHEREAS, Dr. Greaves is a fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology11 and a frequent speaker for numerous community organizations who uses her platform to12 advocate for improved maternal health and patient outcomes; and13 H. R. 544 - 1 - 25 LC 112 3146 WHEREAS, Dr. Greaves is deeply committed to decreasing maternal morbidity and14 mortality and providing care to women in accordance with her service motto, "Every woman15 every time, at all phases of life"; and16 WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for17 integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and she has given inspiration to many through18 her high ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens; and19 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this20 remarkable and distinguished physician be appropriately honored.21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that22 the members of this body recognize and commend Dr. Paula Greave s for her many23 exemplary contributions on behalf of the citizens of this state as well as extend the most24 sincere best wishes for her continued success.25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized26 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Dr.27 Paula Greaves.28 H.
