25 LC 129 0304 Senate Resolution 357 By: Senators Merritt of the 9th, Islam Parkes of the 7th, James of the 28th, Parent of the 44th, Anderson of the 43rd and others A RESOLUTION Congratulating and commending Alisa Anderson for receiving the 2025 Yellow Rose Nikki1 T. Randall Servant Leader Award; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, in 1999, Representative Nikki T. Randall became the fi rst African American3 female elected to the General Assembly from middle Georgia, and over her 17 years of4 service as a legislator, she held numerous leadership positions, including chair of the Georgia5 Legislative Women's Caucus; and6 WHEREAS, every year during Women's History Month, the Georgia Legislative Women's7 Caucus recognizes outstanding women in Georgia who exemplify th e leadership and8 inspiration embodied by Representative Randall; and9 WHEREAS, Alisa Anderson currently serves as the founder and exe cutive director of10 Women's Resources Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to a iding women and11 low-income families by addressing their immediate needs and equipping them with the tools12 necessary to achieve their educational, financial, career, and spiritual goals; and13 WHEREAS, under her leadership, Women's Resources Inc. has serve d over 80 families,14 provided meals to more than 3,600 individuals annually, empower ed 24 entrepreneurs15 S. R. 357 - 1 - 25 LC 129 0304 through training and mentorship, conducted extensive street outreach, and offered life skills16 coaching and professional development programs; and17 WHEREAS, Alisa has served as a beacon of hope in her community by using her personal18 journey to inspire and uplift others, providing compassionate leadership and a faith-driven19 approach that helps women embrace purposeful and fulfilling lives; and20 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this21 extraordinary servant leader be appropriately recognized.22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body23 congratulate and commend Alisa Anderson for receiving the 2025 Yellow Rose Nikki T.24 Randall Servant Leader Award and extend best wishes for her continued success.25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed26 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Alisa Anderson.27 S.
