25 LC 129 0237 House Resolution 538 By: Representatives Carter of the 93rd, Adeyina of the 110th, Hugley of the 141st, Jackson of the 165th, and Beckles of the 96th A RESOLUTION Congratulating and commending Catherine Hardrick for receiving the 2025 Yellow Rose1 Nikki T. Randall Servant Leadership Award; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, in 1999, Representative Nikki T. Randall became the fi rst African American3 female elected to the General Assembly from middle Georgia, and over her 17 years of4 service as a legislator, she held numerous leadership positions, including chair of the Georgia5 Women's Legislative Caucus; and6 WHEREAS, every year during Women's History Month, the Georgia Women's Legislative7 Caucus recognizes outstanding women in Georgia who exemplify th e leadership and8 inspiration embodied by Representative Randall; and9 WHEREAS, Catherine Hardrick is a distinguished community leader , entrepreneur, and10 disabled veteran who honorably served in the United States Army before transitioning to a11 career in the financial industry, where she worked for more than 20 years; and12 WHEREAS, she has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to servi ce by leading a13 community feeding program for homeless veterans and individuals in need; mentoring youth;14 H. R. 538 - 1 - 25 LC 129 0237 advocating for racial, environmental, and social justice; and supporting survivors of human15 trafficking and sexual trauma; and16 WHEREAS, she has further extended her dedication to community e ngagement by17 co-founding "Conversations with Karen and Cat," a solutions-dri ven podcast focused on18 addressing local issues; and19 WHEREAS, Catherine Hardrick is a woman of unassuming greatness whose humble acts of20 kindness and generosity have uplifted the entire community; and21 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this22 extraordinary servant leader be appropriately recognized.23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that24 the members of this body congratulate and commend Catherine Hardrick for receiving the25 2025 Yellow Rose Nikki T. Randall Servant Leadership Award and extend best wishes for26 her continued success.27 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized28 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to29 Catherine Hardrick.30 H.
